"We approached Torpedo to create a concept for us, which we could use for marketing to all NHS Trusts in London (over 170,000 employees). We wanted something that would stand out and be recognised instantly and associated with NHSIL. We felt that we needed something that would grab people’s attention but also help to promote our services.
Torpedo was fantastic and within a short space of time had come up with the idea of the ‘blue ball man’. The concept was to use this character in cartoon form, which made understanding our services really easy.
We promoted both our Proof of Concept Fund and Training Course this way. We had an outstanding response to both campaigns after using this concept but the response to the Training campaign was amazing – we ended up with a waiting list! NHS Staff were even downloading the cartoon from our website.
The concept was taken one step further and Torpedo had a huge inflatable blue ball man made for us, which we used at open days and on visits to the Trusts. It was definitely a success at pulling in the crowd. "
